Harvest 2019

There’s no denying that 2019 harvest has been one of the toughest we have faced for a long time. The relentless, heavy rain back in May time flattened the wheat and the warm, damp, humid weather in June and July added to the difficulties. Harvest time saw long periods of heavy showers so combining was very stop / start! Unfortunately, the glorious bank holiday sunshine was a little too late! 🌧💦🌦💨
Having said all of that, we have risen to the challenge, knuckled down and grafted hard! The team have worked tirelessly to harvest vast amounts of quality grain which is now being expertly dried and put safely in store. 🌾🌾🌾
No-body has ever said farming is easy. It can be exceptionally rewarding and disheartening in equal measures……but it’s a way of life and we’re always up to the challenge!! 💪🚜🇬🇧
