Our quick & easy spelt & ginger oat biscuits


4oz white spelt flour 
2oz porridge oats
3oz caster sugar
4oz hard margarine
2tsp ginger
1dsp golden syrup
1tsp bicarbonate of soda

Makes 12 tasty biscuits
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes


  1. Preheat oven to 350F / 180C .
  2. Melt margarine and syrup in a pan.
  3. Put all dry ingredients in a bowl and pour melted liquid over.
  4. Mix together until stiff.
  5. Shape into small balls and place on a prepared baking tray.
  6. Flatten slightly with a fork.
  7. Bake in the over until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool and enjoy!


Watch your biscuits in the over like a hawk as they can easily burn.
