Don’t just take our word for it

Craggs & Co are Red Tractor and TASCC approved. We always want to give our customers the best quality, British spelt products. By regularly opening our doors to independent expert auditors we ensure we meet outstanding standards. This gives our customers peace of mind that they are receiving products that can be traced from farm to fork. They meet the best standards of safety and hygiene and it’s been farmed using responsible farming methods to minimise pollution and impact on wildlife.

As a rule we don’t like to boast but it’s fair to say we have won some pretty big titles here at Craggs & Co. Over the years we have won Northern Arable Farmer of the Year, National Association of British & Irish Millers for Milling Wheat and made the finals at the British Farming Awards.

We’ve been a tad busy recently to enter any awards but watch this space as we think there maybe a few more on the way!

Red Tractor

We are very proud to be Red Tractor assured. Everything we do on our farms are thoroughly monitored and reported. From the seed that we plant to the way that we harvest and store our grains; it’s all about quality, standards, safety and traceability. Here’s just a few reason why we think being Red Tractor approved is something to shout about:

  • Consumers can buy with confidence:
    • 100% British Produce
    • Traceable from farm to fork
    • Farms are regularly audited promoting good farming practices
    • Product is guaranteed high quality and safe. Every aspect of production is closely monitored and checked
    • Hygiene for production and storage is strictly monitored
  • Animal Welfare
    • Stringent guidelines are adhered to ensuring the safety of animals and wildlife on the farm
  • Environmental Welfare
    • Farms have to use sustainable farming methods to help protect the environment around them

TASCC (Trade Assurance Scheme for Combinable Crops)

Craggs & Co are TASCC assured. TASCC was developed because farmers and consumers wanted to be sure that crops of grain, oilseeds and pulses were treated responsibly once they left the farm. That includes wheat processed by flour millers and malting barley for the brewers and distillers in the drinks industry. It provides independent verification that the trade is meeting strict food safety laws.

Put simply, Red Tractor Assurance and TASCC is an audited ‘seal of approval’ confirming that we are complying with the whole process of traceability right through the supply chain.
